I see Kanye's name and clicked immediately(disregarding his declining efforts or talent. not sure which). Kanye will always have a place in my music library just because he used to be my favorite rapper. So Kanye is still my dude but he needs to step it up. And this verse was not bad. The beat is cool. Jay-z isn't terrible. So far not bad. Then comes minaj. AAAAHHHHHH! She literally stopped me from downloading this song. I wanted to stop listenin a few seconds into her verse but I thought maybe it's a short verse I can get past. Extremely long verse. Most annoying thing I may have ever heard. Another song ruined by Nicki Minaj. "I'm in a tonka color of willy wonka"? are you serious? The way she raps really makes her sound like she is mentally disabled. I almost feel bad for talking about her because after hearing that she might be just under the line of mental retardation(like Peter Griffin)

Oh the radio.
The feeling you get when you hear a great new song is like no other. There are so many songs that I hear and love only to hear weeks later on the radio and get tired of. I don't know if it's my contempt for mainstream radio music or my need for good music but when a song hits the radio it seems to depreciate. But why? If the radio rotation consisted of all good music what would there be to not like about it? So when I hear a song I like on the radio part of me is happy that there is a silver lining in the cloud of mainstream mediocrity. The other part of me is unhappy because 1. the song will be played out and 2. the artist has so many better songs that people won't get to hear . Now I don't hate all songs on the radio and I don't hate a song as soon as it hits the radio. Maybe my dislike for the radio's music is what causes me to be annoyed. But I have a dream that maybe one day people will realize what real music is and the stations will be forced to cut the crap out of their rotation.
Whatever happened to Child Rebel Soldier?
No doubt in my mind that woulda been my favorite rap group. Hands down. They let a lot of people down when they didn't continue

Crooked I-Mass Appeal
This is how we keep the west coast in the game. I downloaded this 11 days ago but never got around to sayin much about it. This is a great 2 minutes of music. The punchlines, substance, flow, it's all there. Crooked did more in a couple minutes then some can do on a mixtape. haha.

I've been thinkin about this lately.
Interesting that we as children had to pledge allegiance to a nation that didn't bother to explain to us what pledging your allegiance really means. And had us put our hand over our heart while we said it. How valid is the allegiance of a 6 year old who is just repeating words the teacher told him or her to say? Not only did we just say words without understanding that we were swearing to be loyal to our nation before learning anything about the nation itself, but it was mandatory(excluding those whose parents intervened). I just find that to be an underhanded tactic on the part of the schools and government.

Movie Review: Despicable Me
Yeah I saw another Steve Carrell movie. He's a funny guy what can I say. Anyway, I'm tired so this review won't be long. It's a really good movie. Very impressive cast that includes Steve Carrell, Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Danny McBride, and that covers the important people. Oh and Ken Jeong. I like him too (no homo). haha. Especially funny for a PG movie. And I gotta say the music was dope. I love that title song by Pharrell. And I heard it months ago just so you know. umm, 8.5 out of 10.

How Bout Dem Cowboys
I don't care if it's preseason I've been waitin for football for a loooooooooooong time. So the perfect way to start it is with a Dallas Cowboys victory.
"the Hall of Fame game drew the highest preliminary television rating for a preseason NFL game in six years."
"It was the best preseason rating since an 8.2/13 for a Titans-Cowboys game in 2004"

Thank you Wale
Man this mixtape is dope. I've been a fan of Wale for a little while now and I must say I'm impressed with this. Very impressed. For some reason all the songs I like best are toward the beginning. It's odd but the whole mixtape is still good so that's nothin to worry about. If you like hip hop music then I say get this soon. You don't wanna miss it.

Movie Review: Dinner for Schmucks
Well this was a funny movie. I have to say that. Somewhat disappointing but I had really high expectations just because Paul Rudd is in it. And dude is hilarious. Steve Carell played his part reaalllly well too. haha. Unfortunately Jeff Dunham is in it but don't worry it's only for a bit. Alan from the Hangover(I know his name but that's how we all know him anyway) was annoying. I wasn't impressed with his part. The opening few minutes are slow but don't be discouraged it picks up pretty soon. A lot of the humor is really out there but the jokes are still amusing enough. I guess I'll say it's kinda hit and miss. More hit then miss though. Out of ten I'll say 7.
